Amalia Keramitsis is New York-based creative and retail consultant for fashion, fine jewelry and watch brands.
Having grown up in Los Angeles, where her father was the right-hand man to celebrated fashion designer James Galanos, she was immersed in the world of the sartorial at a young age. She later attended the American University of Paris and studied art history, learning how all facets of design are forms artistic expressions.
Keramitsis then moved to New York and landed in the fashion department at Vogue magazine, where she was an editor for seven years, covering the designer jewelry, fine jewelry and watch markets. Here she honed her keen editor’s eye, working directly with legends like Grace Coddington, Phyllis Posnick, Tonne Goodman and Elissa Santisi. She saw the rise of the digital word taken hold of fashion and became the inaugural VP of fashion and accessories at Mediabend Capital, a web-based company that pioneered E-commerce sales through visual storytelling. Overseeing a five-person team, she spearheaded the editorial strategy for all fashion and accessories content, and merchandised all the products on Mediabend Capital’s platforms.
More recently, Keramitsis has been director of fine jewelry and timepieces at Moda Operandi, the preeminent online luxury retailer. She curated and directed merchandising efforts for the jewelry and watch assortment for MO’s trunk shows, online boutique and London showroom.
